The one thing that stood out to me is that the expert they were talking to said that everyone has something unique about them, only most people don't know what their specific quality is. Wouldn't it be amazing if we all used our uniqueness to accomplish great things, rather than spend our time complaining about the people who are.
How silly it would be for me to sit and complain because another speaker or author was selling more books or getting more speaking engagements than I am. Wouldn't it be better if I encouraged them for using their unique gifts and worked on developing the things that I am good at.
I know without a doubt that there are better authors and speakers than me, but I also know that this is what I am supposed to be doing. So I am going to do it well and the best that I can. I am taking classes in the fall to help move me in that direction. I don't have time to worry why someone might have an unfair advantage over me. We all have unique gifts and talents, what matters is if we are using them for a greater good!

It is good to encourage others instead of complaining, I agree. Sometimes it's just a matter of figuring out what you're good at!
