Is your marriage just okay? or is it Outstanding?

A few years ago I taught a six week series at a locals Mom’s group about sexual intimacy.  What a learning experience that was.  I never thought that I would be able to come up with six weeks worth of material.  In the end I could have doubled the time.  I read book after book that was teaching me so many things that I was thinking wrong about my husband.  And so many things that I needed to fix within myself.

Want to learn more?  I am going to be sharing with my friend Diane at the upcoming A Woman Inspired conference.

“one” Marriage Online Conference

May 10-12, 2010

“And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” (Gen 2:18)

120790_9003Many little girls dream about their Prince Charming sweeping them off their feet one day. And some girls don’t even think about marriage until Mr. Right literally walks across their path.

After the ring, the dress, the vows, and the honeymoon, REAL marriage begins. Life as ONE. ONE can look very different from one family to the next.

What do you see when you look at YOUR marriage?

  • Are you in the honeymoon stage, celebrating your golden wedding anniversary, or do you fall somewhere in the middle?
  • Did you marry your high school sweetheart, have a long stint at singlehood first, or have a blended family?
  • Are you passionate and purposeful in your marriage?

Whether you are struggling as ONE or just want to keep your foundation strong, the “one” Marriage online conference has a line-up of speakers that are all experts in their own right. They have experiences and God centered, biblical messages to deliver to you so that you can have the marriage you have always hoped for. Join us for the “one” Marriage online conference and get the hope, healing, and Biblical motivation you desire to move forward and have the marriage God desires for you!

Prince Charming doesn’t exist. Real men have rough edges– and so do we! These edges can be fit together as ONE.

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be ONE flesh. (Gen 2:24)

My session will be on May 11 in the afternoon:

Why settle for okay, when you can have Outstanding!

Today’s marriages come in all shapes and sizes. Let’s face it, today’s marriages are complicated. That fairy-tale meeting of your Prince Charming is not what it once was. Today’s women are coming into marriage with a lot of baggage. Baggage that wives think their husbands should carry or get rid of for them.  Like marriages our baggage comes in all shapes and sizes.  Such as prior relationships- whether they were sexual in nature or not they are apart of who you are. Maybe it was a past marriage or an affair, how do you move into a satisfying relationship with your husband when you are so scared of giving that much of yourself away again.

Healing can happen and it starts with you. You need to take the first step. Please join Cj and her friend Diane as we explore how you can deal with your baggage either before you enter marriage or within the covenant of marriage– in a way you wouldn’t have imagined possible.  Are you ready to purge your baggage and take the first step?

Now for some really good news!  I am going to be giving away four tickets to this conference!!!  The first four people to leave a comment telling me why you would like to attend the conference get a free ticket!!!!

  6. I've started a new blog but I'm the same Nikki from Vancouver Island. (as the above comment)

My husband reminded me just last night of how long we've been together...17 years! We've been through a lot and it all hasn't been 'peaches and cream.' I'm at a place in my life and have been for about 3 years, wondering if things will get better, if we'll ever 'get it together' and if we'll ever be on the 'same page'... if its worth the long-haul??? We both have many blended/broken/messed up family members...no good examples we can learn from. I could go on but I'll spare you the gory details. I hope you pick me...the Lord knows I could sure use some help.
