I’m a teacher!

Remember in High School when you would get called to see the school counsellor and they would ask you what you want to be when you grow up?

What was your answer?

Mine was, “I want to be a teacher.”  The counsellor’s reply was, “Your not smart enough.”  Well, I would like to find that counsellor and show them this post!

I will also be teaching three classes at the Prince Albert Arts Centre.

Wonderful World of Crochet (Ages 12-18)

Course Dates: Jan 25 - Feb 29 5 Class(es) over 6 Week(s)

Schedule: Wed, 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM Boardroom

Description: Come and learn (or refresh your memory of) the basic stitches - chain, single crochet, half-double crochet, double and treble crochet and maybe puff, whirlwind, shell, popcorn and chevron. You will surely get hooked on this addictive form of yarn play.

Details: Yarn, bamboo crochet hook and pattern will be supplied for the first class. There will also be a
review of the basics and work begun on first project. You will receive a booklet of the basic
stitches and a few patterns to have fun with. Homework for week 2 will be to purchase the
supplies necessary to complete your main project and bring those supplies to the second class to
work on for the remaining sessions. Please note there is no class on February 22, 2012.

Discover Your Personal Potential (Ages 12-18)

Course Dates: Jan 26 - Mar 08 6 Class(es) over 7 Week(s)

Schedule: Thu, 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM Boardroom

Description: During this course you will be encouraged to live up to and beyond your personal potential.
Through a variety of exercises and journaling you will begin to see your true self emerge. We will
be working through a variety of areas of life to help you find balance that leads to a greater
understanding of who you are.

Details: Please bring a notebook and pen. There is no class on February 23, 2012.

Creative Writing Fun (Ages 10-18)

Course Dates: Mar 03 - Mar 31 5 Class(es) over 5 Week(s)

Schedule: Sat, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM Boardroom

Description: This course is designed to foster creativity and self-expression in a supportive environment. With just creative writing the young writers are encouraged to develop thinking and writing skills that will help them discover their unique voices.

Details: Please bring a notebook and pens.
